Life outside the classroom
Not everything begins with a computer.
Outside class you'll usually find me doing one of three things: building LEGO, cooking, or reading about something that has absolutely nothing to do with my homework. For the personal story behind these, see About.

How music calms me
Trinity College London — Rock & Pop Guitar with Distinction · October 2019. Music gave me another way to focus when words felt harder — a quiet practice that still steadies me.
LEGO
Building Things, One Brick at a Time
LEGO has always been one of my favourite ways to build and experiment. I especially enjoy large and complicated builds where I have to figure out how hundreds of pieces fit together.
Sometimes I follow the instructions. Sometimes I change them. And when something doesn't work, I take it apart and try again. I think LEGO was one of my first introductions to building, problem-solving and engineering.
The materials changed from bricks to code, but I still love figuring out how things fit together.

Cooking
My Kitchen Experiments
I enjoy cooking, especially with my dad. Some of my favourites are chicken biryani, creamy mushroom chicken, shawarma and eggs made scrambled, poached or baked. One of my favourite things to make is potato mash for my sister and me — I like experimenting with flavours and trying to make it a little better each time.
Cooking experiments started very early for me, from around grade 3 onwards — I remember winning a MasterChef competition at school that year, and that was the start, I feel.
Cooking has taught me: experiment, be patient, and don't be afraid to try again.

Reading
Something that has nothing to do with homework
I like reading widely — often about topics that sit outside whatever I'm studying that week. Curiosity works better when it isn't only on assignment.

Games with friends
PlayStation nights with friends are a reminder that belonging isn't only built in workshops and classrooms — it's also built in laughter, teamwork, and time spent together.

Collecting Stories, Not Just Souvenirs
I love travelling, especially discovering local food, new places and experiences. From pahadi Maggi in the mountains and Tibetan momos in McLeod Ganj to lobster and xacuti in Goa, food is a big part of my travel memories.
I've trekked in the mountains, visited Chitkul — the last village at the Indo-Tibetan border — and Sach Pass, a high-altitude mountain pass, relaxed beside the Baspa River, and experienced some seriously huge walls of snow. I also love theme parks and thrilling rides, from Universal Studios to Epic Universe.
Before a trip, I like researching places and restaurants and planning what I want to try. But some of the best memories are the things you can't plan.
You can plan the trip. You can't plan the story.
