Social Impact & Outreach
Building for people, not just systems
Unburden was never intended to remain only a technical project. I wanted to understand bullying as a behavioural and social problem, listen to children's experiences, and build something that responded to their emotional realities.

Vidya NGO — Mumbai Public School
Anti-Bullying Awareness Workshop
An anti-bullying awareness workshop for nearly 300 students from Classes 5 to 10 at Mumbai Public School, a school adopted by Vidya NGO.
I spoke about what bullying is, where it can take place, why it's important to speak up, and how we can support someone who is being bullied. Through interactive activities, games and role play, it became easier for the students to understand bullying, its impact, and the importance of speaking up.
I introduced the students to Unburden, the anti-bullying and wellbeing app I created to help young people understand their experiences, express how they feel, seek help, and work towards healing and recovery. I also shared "Arjun's Journey," the anti-bullying comic book I wrote, with the students.
But what happened after the workshop was what I will remember most. Several students came up to me and asked: "Were you bullied?" "How did you get the idea for Unburden?" "How did you stay so positive?" Some Grade 10 students congratulated me and told me my journey was inspiring to them.
Those conversations reminded me why I started Unburden.
Sometimes, sharing your own experience can help someone else feel less alone. And sometimes, one conversation can give a child the confidence to speak up or ask for help.
